It’s pleasing to be able to report to you that your support of Fred Binns Parkinson’s Foundation has made it possible to do what it set out to do, that is: raise funds for Parkinson’s research.
Because of your support, Fred Binns Parkinson’s Foundation has been able to commit funds to provide an Elite PhD Scholarship Top-up- $7,500 pa for 3-3.5 years to Menzies Research Institute.
This commitment to ‘top up’ a standard APA to an annual stipend of $32,500 enables Menzies to offer a nationally competitive PhD Scholarship to a top tier student, who might otherwise be enticed to join an alternative research institute.
Drs Cliff Kelland & Frank Nicklason met with Assoc Prof Tracey Dickson, who heads the Parkinson’s disease research at Menzies, to confirm our donation.
